Here we see Eve walking near a tree with 3 stacked apples representing she is on the path to her true destiny.

Sold by Eleonore Austerer to an art collector in Geneva, Switzerland.

Eve I

Unique Bronze

44" x 10.5" x 4.5"

Fables and myths of iconic women inspire my work.

I have created numerous versions of Eve.  Here the snake is her temptress as the apple sits at her feet. The apple is a metaphor that represents choices, good vs. evil and enlightenment.  The forked tree represents the two choices before her.

Sold by Eleonore Austerer / Palm Desert

to an art collector in Rancho Mirage, CA.

December - from The Months Series

Limited Edition - Sold Out

31" x 13" x 23"

December was inspired by an incredible holiday in Venice, Italy for the celebration of New Years in 1986/87.  Many of the Cathedrals and Palazzos have trefoil arched stained glass windows and the women are elegant international fashionistas.

"The Months Series" was inspired by the calendar months as they evolved from classical Greek mythology, with reflections on various friends' birth months.  Moods & attitudes are captured in their gestures.  Example: March represents my mother's birth month and shows a strong, powerful, indomitable spirit.  March was named for Mars, the god of war (and later identified with the Greek god Ares).  I was always a shy, introverted, melancholy Pisces, which can be seen in the body language of February.  Each month has a story narrative in its symbolism.
